How to Edit a Learning Experience
This article is designed for facilitators who want to edit learning experiences within Beacon.

🧭 Step by Step
Step 1: Facilitator Profile
- To create a learning experience, first ensure you are logged in as a facilitator. Check your profile at the top right corner of your screen.

Step 2: Access Learning Experiences
- From your Facilitator navigation menu, select Learning Experiences
Step 3: Search to Find LX to Edit
- Use the Search experience field OR
- Use the filter
to search for the LX to edit

Step 4: Select LX to Edit
- Select the pencil icon
for the LX you wish to edit - On the Basic Information tab you can edit:
- Learning Experiences Name
- Join code
- Start date
- End date
- Description
- Photo
- Essential Links

- On the Participants tab you can edit:
- Co-facilitators
- Group of learners
- Individual learners

Step 5: Save the Learning Experience
- Once all required fields are completed, select Save to create your new learning experience
⭐ LX categories and codes cannot be edited by a Facilitator once the LX is created. ⭐
NEW!: Now you can edit right in a LX!

To Edit Any Component:
Step 1: Select 'Edit LX

- Found on any tab in the learning experience under the "My Groups" in the top right corner

Step 2: Edit the LX
- On the Basic Information tab you can edit:
- Learning Experiences Name
- Join code
- Start date
- End date
- Description
- Photo
- Essential Links

- On the Participants tab you can edit:
- Co-facilitators
- Group of learners

Step 3: Save the Learning Experience
- Once all fields have been edited, select Save to update your new learning experience!
To Edit Participants ONLY:
Step 1: Select
Icon in 'Participants' Card
Step 2: Edit the Participants
- On the Participants tab you can edit:
- Co-facilitators
- Group of learners
- Individual learners
- You can also access the Basic Information tab from here to make any additional edits!

Step 3: Save the Learning Experience
- Once all fields have been edited, select Save to update your new learning experience!
🤔 FAQs
Q: I put in the wrong category - how can I fix that?
A: Categories can only be edited on the Admin profile. Reach out to your Admin User to have this corrected.
Q: Can I add learners to a learning experience after it's created?
A: Yes, you can manage learners at any time by editing the learning experience.
Q: What happens to a learning experience after its end date passes?
A: After the end date passes, the learning experience will be removed from both facilitator and learner views, and no further changes can be made to the learning experience.
